Pathologist

​The French Medical Institute for Children (FMIC) was founded in 2006 in a unique public-private partnership between the Governments of Afghanistan & France, a French NGO – La Chaine de L’Espoir and the Aga Khan Development Network through the Aga Khan University Hospital. The Institute has risen to the challenge of charting a course towards sustainable health solutions for Afghanistan. The French Medical Institute for Children provides medical and surgical health care services for pediatric patients and outpatient services to adult as well with wide variety of diagnostic services. FMIC plans to expand towards obstetrics and neonatology services in order to further contribute to the international efforts to reduce maternal and infant mortality in Afghanistan.
Responsibilities
​The position will be responsible to work as a Pathologist in the hospital and provides education and training to the clinical staff.

  • Perform all the functions as a Pathologist 
  • Develop and implement Curriculum for Pathology
  • Conduct classes for Post Graduate Medical Education Students
  • Educate & train the related clinical staff
Requirements

  • ​MD, or M. Phil, or FCPS, or MRC-Path (UK), Board Certification in Clinical Pathology or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a consultant pathologist in a clinical laboratory 
  • Minimum three years of experience in teaching Pathology.
  • All the candidates should have excellent communication skills in written & spoken English​
