The Faculty of Law at The University of Western Australia is one of Australia's premier Law Schools. Within the University's organisational structure the Law School is a single school faculty with an undergraduate enrolment of more than 1400 students, drawn substantially from the top two per cent of school leavers in Western Australia. The School is in the process of building its postgraduate enrolment and currently has several specialist research centres. The Law School is seeking to appoint persons who are strongly committed to teaching and research. The School presently has particular teaching and research needs in corporations and general commercial law; as well as evidence and introduction to law. Applicants must have a PhD in Law or an equivalent degree by research. Applications are also welcome from qualified candidates in other major areas of law taught as part of the LLB degree program and the Business Law program. Applicants with teaching experience are requested to submit a teaching portfolio as part of their application. The School encourages applications from legal practitioners whose academic qualifications satisfy the relevant selection criteria.
