The School of Population Health within the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences is a leading research, teaching and service organisation committed to the discovery and communication of knowledge that will influence health policy and practice. The School coordinates and is primarily responsible for a program of postgraduate coursework and research training degrees including the Master of Nursing Science (Entry to Practice), the Master of Nursing Research and PhD.

Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) is a leading tertiary hospital in Western Australia and is located in Nedlands just minutes from The University of Western Australia campus. SCGH is the first hospital within Western Australia and only the second in Australia, to be recognised as a centre for nursing excellence under the American Nurse Credentialing Centre's prestigious Magnet Program. This position will be located in the Centre for Nursing Research (CNR) at SCGH. The CNR is a well-established research centre which supports high-quality research informing nursing practice and influencing policy development.

We are seeking applicants with experience in Nursing education and student supervision, a record of achievement in nursing research, and leadership ability. The appointee will play an active leadership role in postgraduate nursing education and research within the School and Faculty and provide nursing research leadership at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. Applicants must have a PhD and be eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nurses and Midwifery Board of Australia. Applicants with teaching experience are requested to submit a teaching portfolio as part of their application. Some relocation assistance (if applicable) may be negotiated.
