Communications Officer - Job Description
Critical Publics, a dynamic fast-paced Strategic Communications Consultancy headquartered in London, is seeking a talented Communications Officer to join its team of seasoned professionals at its Athens office.
Main duties:
- Content development in English & Greek: communications collateral, messaging formulation, proposal development, speech writing, translations, reporting
Input will be sought in:
- Intelligence distillation: drawing on different sources, evaluating, correlating and analyzing data, information, and positionalities
- Strategy formulation: translating relevant information and insights into actionable, well-articulated communications plans
Essential qualifications:
- Native-level knowledge of English & Greek
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both English & Greek
- Postgraduate studies in a relevant field (including fields related to clients’ activities)
- A minimum of 2-3 years working experience
- Sharp understanding of the political, economic and social environment in Greece
- Ability to think critically, creatively and generate ideas
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure
- Highly-developed networking and relationship-building skills
- Computer literacy
Desired qualifications:
- Keen interest in international affairs
- Well-developed business acumen
- Effective project management skills
This post will be reporting to the Communications Director, the Intelligence Director and the Managing Director.Expected start date is 1 January 2013.
