Country Director Marie Stopes International East Timor

Country Director - Timor-Leste
We are seeking an ambitious and driven senior manager to join our country programme in Timor-Leste as Country Director.

Launched in 2007, through our clinic in Dili and via extensive outreach, our Timor-Leste programme has provided vital health services, family planning and STI counselling to Timor-Leste’s underserved. In 2011 our services reached 33,400 clients – a 155% increase on the previous year and a fantastic achievement.
In joining our innovative and growing programme, day-to-day you will oversee the business strategy (programmatic, financial and administrative) and work closely with governments, donors and other key stakeholders to overcome barriers that prevent women and men for accessing safe, affordable and reliable family planning and other sexual health services. You will also lead, inspire and manage a dynamic and driven team.
In order to be successful in the role, you will come from a similar senior management background with extensive international work experience gained in a developing country as well as proven experience in designing and delivering strategic and annual business plans. Having previously worked with governments and donor stakeholders (such as AusAID, HAI, TAIS and UNFPA) you will be a confident negotiator and culturally aware.
In return for your commitment to Marie Stopes Internationals mission we can offer you career development and on-going support as well as a competitive salary and benefits package.
