The role

Reporting to the Service Line Manager, the Manager Mining Geotechnical, is responsible to lead and manage all aspects of the Mining Geotechnical group, including developing, implementing and progressively refining the business plan in conjunction with the Service Line Manager. The role includes development of the annual budget, managing the budget during the financial year, staff safety and welfare, client satisfaction, business development and project management. Working with other discipline leaders and, where applicable, Service Line Managers this role is responsible, along with the Service Line Manager, for maintaining and growing the revenue and gross margin of the Service Line at the local level. Additionally continuously improving the quality of our technical service offering at the local level and alignment throughout the global service line are requirements of this position.

Education and experience will include as a minimum.

• Bachelor degree from a recognised tertiary institution in the specialist discipline. Continued commitment to post graduate studies would be advantageous.
• Membership of AusIMM.
• Extensive experience in specialty across a range of commodities;
• Broad financial management skills;
• Management and production experience;
• Demonstrated ability to apply project management processes to service delivery for highly complex projects.
• Experience in leading and managing others
• Established business networks and industry/market knowledge of local area
