Lead Advisers: SE Asia Anti Trafficking in Persons Program

Coffey seeks expressions of interest from technical specialists with strong leadership and capacity building and mentoring skills for a large regional anti-trafficking in persons program, due to commence in the first half of 2013.  Coffey will be bidding for the multi year program to be based in Bangkok, Thailand, with operations in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Burma, Indonesia and the Philippines.

Building on previous phases of assistance to Anti Trafficking in the region the program may:

Improve the region’s ability to protect, care for, and advise victims of trafficking;

Strengthen the national and regional legal frameworks for anti-trafficking;

Support criminal justices response to trafficking in persons from prevention to prosecution.

Responsibilities:

The advisers will be responsible for leading key thematic areas by providing technical assistance; capacity development; strategic advice; communications and coordination support to a range of government and institutional partners. 

Experience required in one or more of the following areas:

Criminal justice and law enforcement responses to trafficking in persons: a) Prevention; b) Detection; c) Investigation; or d) Prosecution.

Trafficking victim protection and advisory services.

Global and regional and anti-trafficking policies and practices.

Other requirements:

Experience in SE Asia;

Experience in working within regional frameworks for cooperation ;

Ability to demonstrate effective capacity building and mentoring approaches working with a wide range of partners to achieve project objectives; and

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
