Position Summary
This position is responsible for implementation of well plans, preparation and execution of day to day operations like Drilling, Casing, Cementation, Logging (Wire line/Tubing Conveyed Logging) and Tubing conveyed perforation, Completions and Coring operations. This position would aslo monitor trajectory in Horizontal wells, completion operations planning & execution, Stimulation, monitoring of well costs daily operations reporting on Well view software. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
Key Accountabilities
Key Accountabilities:
Operational success of all operations on the rig; drilling, testing, completion, tree running, workover, rig moves etc. Ensure that BG TQ agenda is persued. • Ensure that all operations are conducted in compliance with as per BG HSSE standards and regulations and make sure that all HSSE initiatives are implemented on the rig. • Ensure that the drilling operation is conducted in the most cost effective manner • Ensure that all contractors perform in accordance with the relevant contract • Ensure all materials and services are ordered timely • Ensure that all materials received are of the correct specification (QA/QC). • Ensure that rental items are returned to shore timely • Ensure that the job tickets presented for signature are completed properly and times and quantities are correct • Ensure that data provided to shore is correct • Ensure that conflict between departments is solved rapidly and professionally taking into account the overall interest of the company. • Ensure that boats within the exclusion zone of the drilling rig are moved and anchored in compliance with the Company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for implementation of well plans, preparation and execution of day to day operations like Drilling, Casing, Cementation, Logging (Wire line/Tubing Conveyed Logging), and Tubing conveyed perforation, and Coring operations. Also monitor trajectory in Horizontal wells, completion operations planning & execution, Stimulation, monitoring of well costs daily operations reporting on Well view software. * To ensure that all the operations are carried out on the rig a safe manner in compliance to BG HSSE management System * Protect the company interest on the rig * Planning and monitoring of drilling, completion and interventions of the wells. * Ensure compliance with well program and liaison with drilling contractor and service company representatives on all operational aspects. * Preparing daily reports (24 hrs BG -reporting system). * Ordering of material and services in a timely manner as per well program. * Coordinating material supply from different stores / departments / companies. * Coordinating services e.g. directional drilling, fishing, drilling tools, liner hangers, packers, cementing, stimulation, wire line, geology, gyro survey, electro logging, etc. * Preparing cementing / completion program and its implementation. * Preparing daily operational program. * Review and comments on future well program. Supervise the execution of the drilling/Workover/testing/completion program * Implementation of logging operations and witnessing the same. * Monitoring well profiles as per requirements (both Geological as well as technical). * Daily monitoring and preparation of well-cost reports. * Selection and ordering of bits. * Familiarity with BG operational / safety systems. * During the period as the rig was engaged exclusively in Multilateral horizontal wells (sidetracks & new wells) • Plan ahead for two weeks to determine future requirements for drilling equipment and consumables • Liaise with the logistic base to communicate future supply / back-load. Report progress made on a regular base with the onshore superintendent • Discuss program changes with the onshore superintendent • Liaise with other departments (e.g. production) on rig and in field to discuss and schedule concurrent operations. • Check and sign job tickets (not invoices) from service contractors after validation and put remarks for any issues/concerns/delays. Get involved in Incident investigation with Contractor OIM immediately after incident and fill out offline synergy report and send it to DS

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
Experience Needed:
Possession of a graduate degree is an advantage.
Should have attended industry courses in well engineering, well operations management, and project management. Specialist Knowledge/Languages/Skills:
Ability to lead the rig team deliver safe and efficient operation
Able to supervise subordinates and lead team to achieve results. Good technical knowledge of well site supervision. Initiative to offer solutions to technical problems. Sound knowledge of IADC/API guidelines for well operations. Good interpersonal, communications and organizational skills are essential. Valid IWCF- Supervisor level certificate Operating Systems: MS Windows
Tools and Utilities: Well versed with Soft wares like; Well view 9, Synregi, SAP for Reporting
