Job Summary

Due to the extensive growth of Cardno Bowler we have a position for an Area Manager to manage our multiple Business Units throughout Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall performance of the Area, including producing sustainable profit, leading a successful team, maintaining and developing client relationships, and maintaining the quality of work completed.
  • Develop strategies to align Area performance to the company’s business plan.
  • Oversee the Business Units to ensure they meet the Divisional Key Performance Indicators which cover the mission areas of People, Clients, Growth, Quality and Performance.
  • Manage the Area to deliver a bottom line profit in line with budget.
  • Provide specialist technical input into feasibility studies and large projects, including complex technical applications.
  • Lead Area to achieve shared business outcomes
  • Manage Business Unit Managers performance.
  • Manage key client relationships and foster a client focused culture.
  • Develop and implement marketing and business development action plans.
  • Identify and win new project opportunities and clients, maintain existing opportunities and clients and coordinate the Business Unit Managers’ activities in this regard.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with the company’s quality assurance procedures and systems.
  • Maintain ccompliance with company health and safety requirements and Zero Harm policy.
  • Develop a strong safety culture.

Other Requirements

  • High-level knowledge, understanding and experience in the application of technical concepts, processes and activities.
  • Strong experience in CMT at a technical and management level.
  • Experience with NATA essential - must have held NATA signatory status at a CMT facility.
  • Ability to manage projects in accordance with set specifications.
  • Ability to lead teams and manage team output.
  • Strong work ethic and integrity.
  • Passion and commitment to achieving outcomes for self, Area and Cardno.
