(SENIOR) COMPENSATION & BENEFITS MANAGER

Your function:

To provide compensation and benefits services to internal customers in the areas of compensation, benefits, relocation and job evaluation with specific focus in one or several sub-functions as assigned. The position demonstrates thorough statistical analysis and communication skill to handle complex issues in core Compensation + Benefits (C+B) areas. Incumbent works as a country lead for overall C+B function, and provides leadership to the senior local management on C+ B areas team and works closely with the EAME Shared Service Centre. Incumbent is also locally the go to person for all related C+B topics.
Key Job functions include but not limited to:
* senior expert level in C+B arena and exists as a functional expert in Job Evaluation, Compensation, Benefits and Relocation areas.
* at times supervisory responsibility and will always be expected to provide direction to other C+B Services staff.
* senior staff expert for the division and perform a variety of assignments to satisfy both corporate and business needs.
* identify and analyze customer needs, scope solutions, develop tactical plans, deliver solutions and evaluate results.
* while this position has specific areas of concentration at any given time (in order to provide a single contact person for certain core functions), he/she is competent and is expected to perform in most of the following areas of expertise:
* short term and long term incentive plan design adherence, job evaluation guidance, Executive Compensation plan design, National and local survey participation and analysis, Base salary and total cash planning, Development of programs for emerging/evolving operational units/locations, Special research projects, Presentation to senior managers on variable pay plan design, … .
* he/she works with, provides guidance and counsels to and is supported by other staff positions in the division.
* he/she works on insurance pooling, extra legal pension and also reviews all existing policies related to C+B.
* this position represent Company as compensation experts and help provide analysis, interpretation and counsel to C+B management on competitiveness and forms of compensation.
* he/she must demonstrate clear understanding of Caterpillar and Compensation business goals and general practices, must have a thorough understanding of the units being served, constructively challenges customers by asking questions which let them understand their own issues better, and assure flexibility in solutions and practices while maintaining consistency of Caterpillar’s underlying philosophies, values and practices.

Your profile:

* Requires broad and instrumental experience in job evaluation, compensation, benefits and/or relocation areas and 6 - 8 years of relevant experience.
* A degree in accounting or a business related field with an emphasis in accounting or mathematics is desired. Innovative, aggressive, possess advanced analytical skills, and an understanding of statistical applications and calculations.
* Must have an in-depth knowledge of company organization, excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and communication skills, and be able to work under established time constraints.
