ORGANIZATION & PROGRAM BACKGROUND
ecoAmerica is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that uses consumer research and strategic partnerships to create large-scale engagement programs that build awareness, understanding and action for climate and sustainability
solutions among mainstream Americans. Founded in 2005, we have a core expertise in consumer marketing and focus on building the base for climate and sustainability solutions by connecting them to the core values and

 MomentUs is a new strategic organizing initiative that will focus on the visible impacts of climate change to engage the American public in preparedness and mitigation. It will help catalyze a game-changing increase
in institutional and public support to help America become better prepared to minimize the risks and maximize opportunities of our changing climate. MomentUs will create and support a diverse, inclusive network of
organizations from local to national levels across America, and build leadership and collaboration on climate solutions among seven sectors: business, health, faith/conservatives, higher education, “green,” and
municipalities. It will employ research and engage network of leaders to implement a broad, principles-based campaign to build support for climate policy.
Sector Directors
The MomentUs Sector Director acts as the primary Director of sector-specific initiatives and programs including, and will participate in developing strategies, tactical plans and budgets, and will engage and enroll partners, members and associates of the Network. The Director will work closely with the Chief Convergence Officer (CCO) to manage sector program development, execution and measurement in a timely and cost effective manner. The Director will be a dynamic collaborator and networker and have a deep understanding of how to work within a networked system of decision-making. The Director must have strong knowledge of sector-specific issues and priorities.
Each sector director will guide and implement Sector strategy; build Sector engagement and enrollment; create and manage Sector programs and events; create, curate and disseminate sector-relevant content, and manage and report.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE SKILL REQUIRED
• College degree required; advanced degree preferred and 5-7 years related work experience
• Demonstrated experience leading the development and implementation of complex multi-year, multi?faceted campaigns, which includes strategy, organizing, media relations and contacts with political and business leaders
• Commitment to climate and environmental solutions and ecoAmerica’s mission
• Deep understanding and knowledge of sector culture, leaders, organizations and structures
• Experience in building multi-stakeholder initiatives or movements with emphasis on energizing key players and establishing a model of collaboration
• Demonstrated success in creating real impact within a networked, cross-organizational environment
• Understanding of how to incentivize enrollment and engagement in a B2B environment
• Ability to “lead from behind” and keen understanding and skill in relationship building and stewardship of network-dependent initiatives
• Experience in collaborative leadership models and managing relationships and interaction with high-level leaders from private, public, NGO, philanthropic and other sectors
• Solid understanding of consumer behavior and what it takes to shift interest
• Ability to blend strategic thinking with creation and management of real tactics and implementation
• Excellent verbal, written and visual communications, presentation and motivational skills
• Ability to design and produce impactful, interactive event-based experiences
• Excellent ability to distill effective communications from a variety of sources and formats and re-package same
• Expert skill across multiple creative and content management platforms, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs and digital content management systems. Good working knowledge of InDesign, Smart Sheet and Drupal desirable.
