British Airways is looking for a Internal Communications Executive to create and bring to life engaging internal communications programmes across the business. 

Working with the Communications Campaign Manager, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders across British Airways to plan and deliver creative campaigns to support the airline’s vision and business goals. You will work closely with project leaders to support the delivery of local communication campaigns and change programmes.

    About the day to day

    • You’ll have sole responsibility for campaign planning and delivery across a range of existing and new channels and activities.
    • You will need to be able to take a brief and translate complex messages into simple, compelling materials for an internal audience
    • You’ll be responsible for managing internal design, events and external communications agencies and suppliers Deputises for campaigns manager at meetings with client areas
    • Presents proposed campaign plans and delivery ideas
    • Tailor and convey messages using printed, online, digital and face-to-face channels, including planning and organising events
    • Writes briefs, materials, key messages, Q&A and other written material 
    • Works closely with media relations to agree consistency of messaging; 
    • Works with HR business partners and engagement teams to support change management programmes
    • Writes and manages online research and other tracking mechanics 
    • Advises on reputation management and issues management related 

    About you

    • You’ll need to be a creative, energetic and dynamic communicator, with a thorough knowledge and experience of the role of internal communications in engaging colleagues
    • Excellent writing skills – able to tailor and adapt written material across range of channels and audiences
    • An eye for design and a strong planning and delivery focus – you’ll need to demonstrate creative flair and the use of industry best practice and thought leadership
    • A strong news sense and the ability to manage and react to emerging issues quickly and effectively are also important
    • Proven experience writing and delivering communications plans 
    • Good understanding of communication tools and techniques including social media 
    • Previously worked in a communications department or PR agency 
    • Experience of taking sole ownership of projects, planning and implementing internal communication messages 
    • Proven editorial experience
