Opportunities For Energy Professionals in India

International Institute for Energy Conservation (IIEC), a leading international not-for profit non-governmental organization, with a mandate to promote energy efficiency, renewable energy and environmental solutions, with headquarters in USA and regional offices in India, Thailand and the Philippines, is seeking highly qualified individuals to work on energy efficiency initiatives primarily throughout Asia, Pacific and Africa.

The selected Energy Professionals will be based in IIEC office in Mumbai, India and require frequent travel primarily in the Asia Pacific Region.

Candidates should have an advanced degree, preferably in engineering or economics, with a sound background in energy and environmental programs.  Candidates should have at least 5 years experience in energy efficiency, demand-side management (DSM), renewable energy and related fields.  Experience in energy policy, climate change, clean energy, financing and regulatory issues are also desirable.

Candidates should have strong interpersonal and project management skills and expected to support business development.  The ability to communicate well in English is essential.  Work experience with international agencies and in developing countries will be an asset.
