SALARY: £31,504 - £33,727 p.a

From development finance and biofuels to women’s rights and tax justice ActionAid is playing a major role in persuading and pressurising UK policy makers on many international development issues. At the heart of this activity is our Policy and Campaigns department. As Research Officer you will provide invaluable support to this team.
We’re seeking an experienced sector professional who wants to be part of an organisation delivering a bold strategy to provide sustained improvements to the poorest and most excluded people in the world.
Join our action to end poverty now and be part of something truly amazing join us and you will assist the team by providing policy analysis and research support covering a range of issues and public campaigns, with a particular focus on supporting our campaigns on tax justice and biofuels. This will involve attending events and lobby meetings as well as preparing briefing documents. You will communicate our policy and thinking through writing, media, social networks and public speaking with a particular focus on digital media. You will also provide general admin support as needed.
A skilful researcher, you will have a good understanding of international development issues as well as experience of working in an office environment. You will have well developed communication and presentation skills as well as a good understanding of digital media. PC literate you will be highly organised and good at prioritising workloads.
