Oxford HR is working with ActionAid UK to recruit a new Head of Programme Funding.

In the UK ActionAid’s role is to raise funds to carry out programme work internationally, to motivate and engage supporters and the general public, to campaign for change and to support the development and effective working of ActionAid International. Actionaid is a values driven, forward thinking organisation, focused on achieving long-term change through supporting partners to make a sustainable difference.
Leading a team of able and highly committed programme funding specialists, this senior role is responsible for building and managing funding relationships with the major institutional donors in the UK, including DfiD, Comic Relief and Big Lottery. The post-holder will lead ActionAid UK’s institutional funding strategy, business processes, relationships and evaluation tools that support the delivery of exceptional income results against ambitious objectives, while effectively promoting and representing the ActionAid’s programming approach at the highest levels and increasing income from institutional sources.
The role involves working closely with senior management and other relevant teams across AAUK and ActionAid International, working in line with ActionAid's 'Action for Change' strategy.
You will bring at least 5 years’ experience at a senior level in the development sector, and will have quantifiable experience of successful fundraising from DFID and major strategic UK foundations. You will have proven ability to develop and maintain effective high level working partnerships, and bring in-depth knowledge of the UK institutional donor market and an understanding of national and international market trends.  You will also have the confidence to act as a key representative for ActionAid UK, capable of influencing at the highest levels, and experience of developing and managing plans, budgets and providing management information.
