Civil Engineer - Christchurch

We have an opportunity for a suitably qualified Civil Engineer to join our Christchurch Civil Team. With a focus on water, you will find yourself working on a range of projects across different sectors. Included will be hydraulic modelling, drainage design, and general Land Development work.
The ideal candidate will be a suitably qualified Civil Engineer with relevant consulting experience in the water and stormwater fields. Knowledge of software such as Infoworks and / or MIKE, while not essential would be preferred. You must have good communication and reporting skills, possess a positive attitude and ability to learn, and be keen to contribute to a positive and fun culture.
Skills and experience sought for this position include:
  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 3 - 6 years post graduate experience
  • Conceptual/detailed design of water infrastructure including: storage/settlement pond; water collection and transfer pump stations; water and slurry pipelines; dust suppression pipe network and pump stations; and stormwater infrastructure.
  • Water supply / demand assessment, and concept design of water supply, storage and recycling systems
  • Preparing and submitting tenders, costing' and expressions of interest
  • Ability to liaise professionally with both clients and local government authorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical report writing
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Proven ability to deliver appropriate engineering solutions within a specified time frame
