Global Education Practice Area Specialist , London, United Kingdom


Reporting to: Global Education Practice Director
Remuneration: GBP 40,000 - 44,000 per annum, Pension Contribution and Variable Pay

The Global Education Practice has exciting plans to expand its portfolio with major bilateral and multilateral clients. To support this expansion, we will appoint an Education Practice Area Specialist who will be responsible for i) developing opportunities for GRM to provide technical services to key clients and (ii) overseeing and directly delivering GRM services in fields that primarily include:
  • Basic Education (Primary/Secondary)                                                                                                 
  • Tertiary Education
  • Girls Education
  • Youth and Workforce Development
  • Education in Fragile and Conflict-Afflicted States
  • Scholarship Programs
  • Access for hard to reach populations
  • Research, Monitoring and Evaluation.
You will ideally demonstrate:
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree in International Education, Social Sciences or related discipline;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience in the education sector;  
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in international development within a reputable consultancy in a project position or within a donor agency/relevant organization,
  • Experience in financial management and budgeting;
  • Success in working with Ministries of Education, Associations and CSOs;
  • Sound business development and client relationship management skills;
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients, focuses on impact and results;
  • Willingness to travel and work abroad a minimum of eight weeks per year in developing countries and elsewhere.
