The Faculty offers an innovative suite of undergraduate Media degrees in Journalism and Communication, Media Production, Public Relations and Advertising, and, Screen and Sound through the School of the Arts and Media, and offers postgraduate coursework degrees in PR and Advertising and Journalism and Communication through the Journalism and Media Research Centre. Our programs are highly successful with strong demand, rapid growth, and a high-quality student cohort.
Building on research success and the rapid growth in student enrolments, the Faculty is seeking to appoint two outstanding academics with expertise in at least one (and preferably more than one) of the following areas: Public Relations, Advertising, Journalism, and Political and Public Communication. The appointees will be expected to contribute to the planning and teaching in relevant courses, undertake postgraduate supervision, and, maintain and develop excellence in a relevant area of Media research and/or professional practice.
  • The Lecturer position is full-time, and is available on a convertible tenure track employment contract, which will include an initial fixed-term of three years. The current salary range for Lecturer is AUD$86,626 to $102,121.
  • The Senior Lecturer position is full-time, continuing. The current salary range for Senior Lecturer is AUDD$105,216 - $120,711.
  • Both positions attract up to 17% employer superannuation and leave loading.
  • Level of appointment will be determined on the basis of previous experience and qualifications.
  • An attractive relocation allowance will be offered to a successful interstate or overseas applicant.
