Manager Environmental Affairs FoodDrinkEurope


FoodDrinkEurope, the voice of the Food and Drink Industry of the EU is looking to hire a Manager Environmental Affairs
The Manager will report to the Director and will be in charge of the following responsibilities:
  • Gather intelligence of public policy developments relevant to the sector.
  • Provide strategic advice in relation to industry positioning towards EU policy
  • Build, maintain and develop the network within the EU players (decision makers, civil society, industry partners…) and within the membership of FoodDrinkEurope.
  • Organise and manage expert working groups with a view to enable consensus and drive action.
  • Monitor and assist in the management of policy developments on all environmental issues impacting on the food and drink industry (sustainable consumption and production, energy, climate change policies, packaging, waste, water etc).
Profile:
  • University degree in law, political or environmental science, followed by at least 3-5 years’ work experience in EU policymaking and environmental sustainability issues.
  • Business-minded with an excellent capacity to analyse and summarise complex issues.
  • A self-starter and ability to work effectively in a small team.
  • Knowledge of the European food and drink industry would be an advantage.
  • Excellent command of English and at least one other EU language. Other EU languages are an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
