We are the domain relevance team in Bing and our goal is to develop technology to deeply understand query intent, develop features to help users find relevant information and to show appropriate results to the user query. We are responsible for Ranking, Query Translation/Entity Extraction, Instant Answer Triggering, Relevance Metrics Measurement and Data Mining/Text Mining for two major segments in Bing- Image & Video. We are responsible for Global Rollout of Image & Video Search quality as well.

This is a KPI driven team and the team is constantly experimenting with innovative ideas to improve these metrics. If successful, the experiments are productized. Experiments involve studying and analyzing click logs, working with researchers for developing machine learning models and building new features for fresh, diverse and relevant results.

Responsibilities
Manage the development of Services and APIs that power search results.
Work with Internal Microsoft Partners like Windows, Office, Bing Ads, Bing UX to understand their requirements for Bing Image and Bing Video.
Research and design new measurement techniques and metrics
Build/Enhance Measurement Infrastructure for measuring Image, Video and Adult Segments.
Work closely with Development, Test and Research teams to deliver a highly relevant search experience to the end user
Propose experiments and write specifications for features that need to be productized.
Drive projects to completion in a timely manner.
Prioritize requirements and do multi release planning.

Qualifications include:
Strong technical platform skills, preferably in machine learning, artificial intelligence, natural language processing or data mining.
Ability to quickly adapt to new technology and go deep in new focus areas
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a large number of partners and customers and translate requirements into a product vision and roadmap.
Strong project management and driving skills, effectively managing project without direct authority and working cross teams.
Outstanding design skills.
5+ years’ experience of software product cycle, either functioning as a program manager to drive features from initial planning, design, to implementation and release, or working as a software developer.
A Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
Search industry experience is preferred.
We are open to considering exceptional dev-test candidates without prior experience in a PM role.
