CHIEF EXECUTIVE SACE BOARD OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA


The SACE Board of South Australia is a statutory authority under its own legislation known as the SACE Board of South Australia Act 1983. The SACE Board’s primary function is the provision of the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE). Its mission is to provide a locally and internationally respected SACE that gives all students the capabilities to move successfully into further learning and work as confident and responsible citizens.
An exciting opportunity exists for a highly committed and nationally regarded educational leader and administrator to lead the SACE Board into the next phase of its evolution, and to build on the excellent work of past leaders.
Reporting directly to and working closely with the Board of the SACE Board of South Australia, key strategic directions include: advocating for students, strengthening SACE innovation and relevance, delivering quality outcomes and building professional capacity.
Responsibilities include strategic leadership in:
  • Managing change and ongoing transformation in response to international, national and local educational initiatives and pressures.
  • Policies and planning as related to curriculum, assessment, certification and reporting.
  • Program implementation through diligence in the development, delivery and maintenance of procedures and infrastructure that ensure accurate and timely management and release of results.
  • Diverse and complex relationships; managing, liaising, collaborating, negotiating and advocating within the SACE Board, government and across state and national boundaries.
Applications are sought from experienced executives, ideally with aligned post graduate qualifications. Strong commercial acumen and superior communication and relationship development skills are required to join this highly dedicated and professional team and play a critical role in the future development of the SACE Board of South Australia.
