Job Purpose
Accountable for BA’s Cabin Product Global Inventory. Establishes an out-sourced global inventory management service whilst ensuring continuity and availability of product supplies throughout the transition from in-house to an external provider. Ensures appropriate interface mechanisms between BA corporate systems and the external provider.

Principal Accountabilities
- Directs policy, plans and performance targets for the delivery of BA’s global inventory service
- Ensures inventory availability performance is delivered in line with the requirements
- Leads and directs the maintenance of the global inventory item master records to ensure complete accuracy of bill-of-materials
- Assesses global inventory risks using industry techniques and determines appropriate risk mitigation plans, when required
- Implements the strategic and tactical plans to out-source inventory management ensuring inventory levels are protected during transition
- Ensures regular stock audits of all warehouses, caterers and lounge backing stores to validate inventory system data
- Maintains a set of service standard metrics using a scorecard system with agreed targets. ·
- Ensures stock orders and order processing conform to all relevant fiscal policies and procedures both corporate and legal
- Maintains a highly accurate, world-class data driven inventory management system that is at the heart of all inventory management processes
- Designs processes and procedures and supporting documentation to ensure consistency in inventory management
- Directs sourcing and contractual negotiation with Inventory Management providers
- Keeps up to date with inventory management industry trends, developments and supplier base Makes recommendations to BA on future innovations and strategy
- Available to travel globally at short notice

Essential Qualifications
- Member of recognised supply chain or logistics professional body
- Educated to a degree/HND level or equivalent
- Ability to hold an Airside Driving Permit
