Coordinator Member Support & Impact Monitoring

Coordinator Member Support & Impact Monitoring
The Union for Ethical BioTrade is a non-profit association that promotes the “Sourcing with Respect” for ingredients that come from biodiversity. Registered in Geneva, with offices in Amsterdam and Sao Paulo, UEBT manages the Ethical BioTrade standard. UEBT is a member of ISEAL. Members of UEBT are companies working in cosmetics, food or pharma. They are committed to gradually ensuring that their sourcing practices promote the conservation of biodiversity, respect traditional knowledge and assure the equitable sharing of benefits all along the supply chain. To implement the Ethical BioTrade standard, UEBT members set up a biodiversity management system that ensures the standard is integrated in relevant company departments (e.g. R&D, sourcing) and throughout their natural ingredient portfolio. Members identify priority supply chains to which the Ethical BioTrade standard is being applied in an accelerated way. Third party auditors periodically verify these commitments of UEBT members. UEBT is based in the Netherlands and Brazil.
