Risk Advisory - Technology Assurance & Advisory - IT Audit Manager


We are looking for someone who will be able to fulfil the following requirements

To independently:
  • Win and retain business in line with RA strategy
  • Take responsibility for development of junior staff
  • Take responsibility for delivering excellence on each Technology Assurance and Advisory project directly to the clients and/or in support of other Deloitte business units
  • Develop and manage all client relationships effectively
  • Manage all administration aspects of the assignment/project with efficiency and accuracy
  • Manage the proper and effective utilization of all staff members on the assignment/project
The key performance areas are:
  • Revenue growth / winning business
  • Is proactive in winning business
  • Winning and retaining sufficient business to ensure budget and winning business targets are met
  • Win annuity business
  • Initiate proposals to new clients
  • Develop relationships with Senior Client management
  • Use internal/external networks to get new leads
  • Building the brand and own eminence by participating in press initiatives where applicable
Overall project delivery
  • Project planning- adequate planning of resources is performed in advance of scheduled engagements
  • Consistently deliver good quality work on time and, where possible, within budget
  • Effectively manage conflicting deadlines, prioritise and refer conflicts to be resolved timeously
  • Proactively keep clients informed of all fiscal development
  • People management and coaching
  • Where applicable, prepare and attend and present at Audit Committee meetings

  • Ensure client files are maintained at a high standard and in accordance with internal risk management policies and relevant auditing standards of IRBA, IIA, etc.

  • Monitor improvement on Counsellee's development areas
  • Demonstrates ownership and accountability for own personal development
  • Communicate and share information

  • Form strong interpersonal relationships with colleagues

Desired Skills & Experience

You would need to have the following qualifications
  • B.Comm or
  • B.Comm Honours/B.Sc (Hons) or
  • B.Sc in IT or equivalent
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant is advantageous
  • CIA, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT or CISSP is preferable
You would need to have the following Experience and Technical competencies
  • More than 5 years of experience in IT auditing including data analytics and internal audit , particularly in application of IT control frameworks with at least 2 years in a management role
  • Experience in general computer controls, application controls reviews and integration with internal audit and data analytics
  • Excellent business acumen
  • Experience in working in the Public Sector is advantageous.
  • Proven winning business experience

  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Flexibility in dealing with changing requirements, and different types od projects
  • Ability to resent to clients at all levels
  • Understanding and knowledge of IT and /or ERP systems and risks associated
  • Knowledge of review and evaluating controls of computer systems
  • Understanding of platform and operating systems and risks associated
  • Understanding of tools and audit process methodologies
  • COBIT. ITIL, etc. knowledge and experience
  • Teammate, Cura, AS/2 experience an advantage
  • Excellent written and oral communication

The Corporate Finance practice at Deloitte has extensive experience working with corporate and private equity clients supporting both buy side and sell side strategies. We have been involved in a large number of complex transactions across various industries.
