The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is an international financial institution and a specialized United Nations agency dedicated to eradicating rural poverty and hunger. It does so by financing programmes and projects that increase agricultural productivity and raise rural incomes, and by advocating at the local, national and international level for policies that enable poor rural people to overcome poverty.
IFAD is looking for professionals with strategic vision, a solid team orientation, proven capacity to generate results, and a deep understanding of and commitment to development. IFAD is currently seeking to recruit:
- Vice-President (Under-Secretary-General). The successful candidate will report directly to the President of IFAD and is the Deputy Chief Executive of the Fund. As a member of the Executive Management Committee, the Vice-President provides counsel and advice to the President on the strategic direction of the Fund and all aspects of its operations and activities.
