The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is an international financial institution and a specialized United Nations agency dedicated to eradicating rural poverty and hunger. It does so by financing programmes and projects that increase agricultural productivity and raise rural incomes, and by advocating at the local, national and international level for policies that enable poor rural people to overcome poverty.
IFAD is looking for professionals with strategic vision, a solid team orientation, proven capacity to generate results, and a deep understanding of and commitment to development. IFAD is currently seeking to recruit:
Secretary of IFAD (D1/D2). The successful candidate, reporting to the President of IFAD, serves as the Secretary to the Fund’s Governing Council, Executive Board and Executive Board subordinate bodies. In this capacity, the Secretary works closely with representatives of Member States and the Partnership and Resource Mobilization Office to ensure excellent relations between Member States and IFAD.
