Your role will include the analysis of bulk samples for asbestos and the production of the relevant reports.
You will liaise with the laboratory manager, project managers and clients.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Analyse bulk samples for the presence of asbestos in accordance with HSG 248 and in house documented procedures
- Produce bulk analysis certificates
- Ensure work is completed in given time frames
- Completing record forms
- Completing test data sheets
- Ensure the day to day running of the laboratory
- Attending meetings with Quality Department
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must hold the BOHS P401 Identification of Asbestos in Bulk Samples
- Minimum 6 months experience as a bulk sample analyst for a UKAS accredited organisation
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Competent in use of IT
- Flexible, motivated and demonstrate initiative
