World Vision UK Head of Policy and Public Affairs

The world's largest overseas aid charity, we deliver real change for millions of children in the hardest places in the world. Our mission is to inspire the UK to take action that transforms the lives of the world's poorest children. You will be vital to our success as you build our new Policy and Public Affairs team to increase our influence with government, peer organisations and the general public.

Focusing on child protection, humanitarian action and child health, you will develop timely, relevant and effective evidence-based policies that bring about measurable change. In particular, you will inspire and motivate government relations experts and policy and programme specialists to drive insightful operation and policy research and prioritise activities, whilst promoting genuinely joined-up thinking across the organisation.

Passionate about advocacy and experienced in the NGO sector, you should be a seasoned policy generalist with proven matrix management skills. Naturally, you will be well versed in development theory, policy and practice, capable of assessing and analysing complex issues. You will be used to translating programming analysis by using links both on a national and local level.  You should bring a strong network of contacts and have a desire to apply and develop your Christian faith and your professional skills.

Finally, you must be a genuinely creative thinker with a wealth of fresh ideas and the credibility to enthuse others about your initiatives and priorities.
