Project Coordinator Emergency Response Team - South Sudan

Role and Responsibilities
To manage the implementation and coordination of the designated field projects. Providing leadership, strategic direction, management and evaluation of all aspects of the Medair projects, the Project Coordinator also plays a key role in liaison with local authorities and other relevant stakeholders, team leadership and security.
Project Overview
Emergency Response Team (ERT) works across all 10 states of South Sudan in response to acute emergencies: returnee/refugee influxes, disease outbreaks, displacement due to tribal violence and flooding. Medair is one of the only agencies with the ability to respond flexibly and rapidly throughout South Sudan, covering both major crises such as refugee and returnee influxes – and forgotten crises such as emergency level malnutrition and neglected tropical disease outbreaks. The ERT has teams for 4 sectors of work – WASH, health, nutrition, non-food items and emergency shelter, but teams often work together at field sites. As many as six different emergency sites may be active at any given time.
Please note:
Medair has standard working requirements for working in the field. A very important one is that you need to be a comitted Christian. Another is that if you're marries, your spouse must also apply.
