Crown Agents USA, Inc. (CA-USA) is seeking a Business Development Graduate Summer Intern for our Washington, DC office.

CA-USA, the U.S. incorporated subsidiary of Crown Agents, provides direct technical assistance, capacity development, and procurement services to stimulate economic growth, establish good governance, and improve health outcomes across the developing world. Roles and Responsibilities
This position is ideal for a student currently pursuing a graduate degree in International Relations (or other related field) and who is interested in a career in international development. The CA-USA Business Development Graduate Intern will be exposed to various aspects of government contracting and business development, from capture management to proposal development. This paid internship ($10/hour) is a unique opportunity for a student to develop practical skills working with US donors on international development issues.
Specific Responsibilities
General duties include but are not limited to the following:
•Undertake research and contribute to reports, papers, and presentations
•Attend meetings and seminars on various international development issues and prepare meeting notes for the Business Development team
•Aid the department in special projects, including but not limited to: Create press releases stories on current project successes; Conduct market research on international development trends; Develop competitor/partner analysis for upcoming projects; Create articles for CA-USA’s internal and external websites in support of our “Knowledge Management” initiative; Assist in proposal development i.e. copy editing, production, etc.
•Provide minimal administrative support (less than 30%) to the department
•Other activities as appropriate for the position and assigned by the department
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s Degree required
•Currently pursuing a graduate degree in International Relations or related field
•Academic studies and/or previous work experience focused on international development
•Familiarity with USAID and MCC desired
•Excellent research, writing, and organizational skills
•Organized, motivated, and responsible individual with the ability to work independently
•Familiar with Microsoft Office; specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
•Website design or publications/communications experience desired
