BBC Children in Need is the BBC’s UK Charity. Our vision is that every child in the UK has a safe, happy and secure childhood and the chance to reach their potential.
The charity supports projects working with disadvantaged children and young people in the UK and has the following strategic aims:
To be a great fundraiser

To be a great story-teller
To be a great grant maker
To be a great organisation
The Charity receives over 4,000 applications for funding and awards between 1,500 and 2,000 grants in the region of £40m per year.
In an increasingly competitive environment BBC Children in Need aims to develop sustainable partnerships with a range of interests. These include partners who can help to add breadth and depth to the annual Appeal as well as generate additional income eg. major retailers or corporate organisations.

Role

You will have the unique opportunity to generate and drive sustainable partnerships with some of the UK’s biggest businesses, meeting increasing annual targets for income, campaign presence and reach. By developing and motivating partners via product development and employee engagement programmes you will engage staff, customers and key stakeholders at every level.
You will also introduce new business opportunities and develop and build relationships with key business stakeholders in order to drive larger engagement and revenue.

Requirements

You must have account management experience, ideally with the commercial sector as well as significant stakeholder management expertise, both internal and external. The role will involve gaining buy in from some of the UK’s biggest businesses so negotiation experience will also be key. You will need excellent communication and presentation skills to drive relationships at the highest level.
