ENVISION Program Associate RTI International

The ENVISION Program Associate (PA) will provide key program support for the ENVISION project, as described below. ENVISION is a five-year Cooperative Agreement through which RTI will support and expand NTD control and elimination in priority countries and will further the development of evidence-based policies and standards globally. This position will be based in Washington DC, in RTI’s International Development Group (IDG).
Duties and Responsibilities:
The PA will work with a variety of technical team members across ENVISION to support technical project activities. Duties may include:
Program Support
  • Schedule and develop agendas for USAID/RTI biweekly meetings; take detailed and refined meeting minutes; circulate minutes for approval and distribution
  • Maintain shared event calendar with USAID; track follow-up items; prepare handouts and presentations
  • Ensure familiarity with project templates, styles, tools to provide support to team members’ use of the tool;
  • Assist in the development of project biweekly reports for submission to USAID, including country and procurement updates;
Communications
  • Ensure all ENVISION project communications adhere to branding and marking guidelines;
  • In coordination with ENVISION staff and partners, develop text, graphics, and other content to update program website, social media, e-newsletters, fact sheets, briefing books, etc.;
  • Maintain project archives of presentations, documents, reports, etc.;
  • Identify and develop human interest and success stories in coordination with technical and country teams;
  • Support development of project press releases;
  • Respond to USAID requests for information and stories (i.e., Frontlines, Report on Child Survival); post documents to USAID Development Experience Clearinghouse;
  • Provide support for technical meetings and special events (including field-based events);
  • Develop and maintain ENVISION listserve;
  • Provide quarterly updates to RTI scientific stature;
  • Complete online submission of abstracts and manuscripts on behalf of authors;
  • Support the maintenance of ENVISION website and social media accounts (via HootSuite dashboard);
  • Assist in document preparation (USAID format) and review of ENVISION project reports, and other materials;


Qualifications: 

  • B.Sc. or B.A. Degree in a health, international studies, communications, business or a related field;
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience, preferably for an organization that manages health projects in developing country settings;
  • Experience working with USAID or other US government -funded projects desirable;
  • Must have strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and be detail and deadline-oriented;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), Photoshop;
  • Experience editing videos and photographs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Excellent writing, proofreading, and troubleshooting skills;
  • Ability to interact with staff at all levels in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism;
  • Prior experience working or living in a developing country setting preferred;
  • Ability to travel overseas (1-2 trips per year may be required); and
  • Language skills in French or Portuguese will be an asset.
