BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the business, is looking for a Finance Controller to provide commercial, operational and strategic financial support across the Content division to ensure effective commercial decisions are undertaken by the business. The role will ensure that financial performance is accurately recorded and reported and that the business operates within the appropriate control environment.   This is a permanent role based at the Media Centre, White City.

Role

Working with the Head of Finance/CCI you'll help manage BBC Worldwide’s investment process encompassing the responsibility for forecasting and reporting of Worldwide’s programme investment portfolio. You'll coordinate with Regions to ensure timely submissions and completeness of sales forecasts to ensure usage fees can be accurately forecasted per business area,  As well as manage the recording of IPA costs and liabilities ensuring accurately reflected in Worldwide systems and accounts.

Requirements

You'll be a qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years PQE.  As well as significant experience gained in a Media Distribution/Production Company. You'll also have experience in content acquisition/distribution, the negotiation of distribution deals and development deals and an understanding of industry standards. Proven focus on post investment analysis with an ability to create ownership and to hold the business responsible for delivering against plans is key.
