Position Description:
 
Perform entry level professional duties of moderate difficulty under close supervision. May perform duties such as gathering and organizing data to provide information for departmental special projects or reports; assist in preparing protocols and written reports; accompany professional level employees on assignments; conduct interviews with clients or internal personnel to obtain basic information for departmental use; contact other departments or outside agencies by phone to request or give information and other related duties as assigned. Assignments serve to offer practical experience and broad exposure to clinical research practices and FHI 360’s organizational structure.

Job Responsibilities:
 
  • Researches scientific issues as required for protocol development, study operations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Assists in drafting protocols and reports for clinical studies.
  • Writes other reports for use by internal staff, advisory committees, and funding agencies.
  • Conducts special studies in conjunction with a project, analyzes data and makes recommendations based upon studies.
  • Analyzes, generates and maintains records and other reference material necessary for departmental use.
  • Performs other duties assigned.

Minimum Requirements: 
 
  • Bachelor’s degree or its international equivalent in public health or related field.
  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s program for public health or related field.
  • Experience working in the field of family planning.
  • Knowledge of product development in context of contraceptive technology or drug delivery preferred.
  • Prior work experience in a donor or non- governmental organization (NGO) preferred.
  • Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive manner with clients and staff.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
  • Ability to speak a foreign language is a plus.
  • Knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures of study design and data analysis methodology.
  • Demonstrated experience with computer programs, systems, and Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, identify errors, and prepare reports.
  • Ability to work well with others and independently.
  • Detailed oriented and able to problem solve and take direction well
