Program Manager, West Bank & Gaza


World Learning has an immediate opening for a Program Manager, West Bank/Gaza. Duration: Up to 4 years. Location: Washington D.C. Background: The primary purpose of this program is to provide management support for a Masters’ Scholarship Program for young Palestinian professionals to pursue their Master’s degrees at U.S. universities. The Master’s Scholarship Program will enable professionals to upgrade their knowledge and assume leadership roles in their communities.
Program Manager’s responsibilities: The Program Manager will be responsible for finding U.S. university placement for all scholars, overseeing effective implementation of all administrative tasks necessary for the scholar to live and study effectively in the U.S., supporting the scholars once they are in the U.S. as appropriate and overseeing the identification and/or facilitation of activities for the scholar that broadens his/her learning and personal development experience within the U.S. The ideal candidate must have indepth knowledge and experience of the Palestinian culture, norms, traditions and gender issues. This position is located in Washington D.C.
Desired Qualifications: • Master or bachelor degree in education or related field. • A proven track record in coordinating activities within teams for a minimum of 10 • years. • Experience in working on participant training projects with the USG is required. • Work experience in or with the Middle East preferred. • Knowledge of Arabic preferred.
