Qualifications and expertise should include: • A minimum Grade 10 or N1 with passes in Maths, Science and English plus 3 years’ experience as Welder OR Coded Welder in terms of ASME IX OR Artisan Welder (Trade) OR NQF level 4 Occupational Qualification as a Welder • A valid driver’s licence • The ability to interpret engineering drawings and welding specifications • Computer literacy.
Training and/or education opportunities may be provided on a non-permanent employee basis until the person meets the minimum entry requirement for permanent employment, which is a Grade 12 or N3 with English, Math and Science plus Artisan Welder (Trade) or NQF level 4 Occupational Qualification as a Welder.
