Job Summary

Due to continued growth our Water and Environment Business Unit is currently seeking a Graduate Software Developer/Computer Scientist to join our team based in Perth. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate at Graduate level to work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of leading engineers and scientist who are renowned in the industry for their expertise and specialist services in the areas of Environmental Impact Assessments, Project Management, Water Engineering, Coastal Modeling, Ship Simulation and Marine and Freshwater Ecology.
 
This exciting opportunity sits within a coastal monitoring and data collection project team servicing the oil & gas sector enabling you to develop practical experience in data management, document management and business process analysis in addition to traditional database and software development tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • ​Microsoft Visual C# Software Development
  • Microsoft SQL Server Development
  • Relational database design
  • Integration with MATLAB statistical analysis tools
  • Assisting engineers and scientists with data analysis report preparation
  • Working across all sectors within the group to broaden your skills within the environmental data management field

Other Requirements

  • ​Tertiary qualifications in Software Engineering and/or Computer Science
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrate a willingness to pursue self-development for career advancement
  • Desire to pursue a career in an applied sector of IT
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
