As Director of Communications you will be a member of our UK Senior Leadership Team and the chief professional advisor to our Executive Director and Board of Trustees on communications issues, and the person ultimately accountable for this part of our operation. A skilled corporate leader you will take responsibility for the strategic development and efficient delivery of key aspects of communications work - including brand identity and awareness,media relations, digital communications, our work in schools and with young people.
You will provide creative leadership and deliver impactful communications assets that engage our audiences better in line with our brand strategy and in a way that consistently articulates the voice of poor people at its heart. Vital will be the ability to build a strong Departmental team which has a well-defined role, effectively delivers and operates with a high level of efficiency and accountability, and produces optimum outcomes with our resources.
With a record of building high performance teams you will have extensive experience in formulating, implementing and controlling strategic direction and the ability to manage vision and purpose in your department as well as contribute to the wider organisation. Able to demonstrate the ability to develop a learning environment where creativity and innovation is encouraged, you will be comfortable supporting the delivery of large, complex projects with multi-stakeholders.
Your expertise in controlling budgets, audience insight and track record of delivering high profile communications output for diverse groups as part of a public campaign will be second to none. You will also need the skills to build exceptionally strong, influential working relationships across a global organisation particularly at a senior level and across cross-cultural groups.
