Job Responsibilities
	The opportunity has arisen for a Cargo Inspector to join Intertek. The position is based at the Grangemouth site but regular travel to different client sites is required. A fully funded company car will be provided. This successful applicant will provide all aspects of a Cargo Commodity Related Inspection service including the examination and sampling of materials contained in lines, barge tanks, ships tanks, shore tanks and other vessels. The position will involve: • Drawing samples from Ships and Shore tanks in accordance with API, IP, company or other procedures. • Gauging ships and shore tanks and manually calculating quantities in accordance with API and IP procedures. • Performing routine equipment calibration, verification and function checks. • Booking in of samples. • Completing Inspection and Generic Reports including the reporting of accurate results. • Coordinating and communicating with Intertek staff and clients to ensure smooth and timely handling of reports and samples. • Monitoring the availability of supplies
Job Qualifications
	Job Qualifications The ideal candidate will be adaptable, willing to work unsociable hours and be able to work with limited supervision. A full UK driving licence is essential. A chemistry or marine background would be an advantage with preference given to candidates with ONC or A level, Scottish Higher Grade equivalent.
