Head of Mission in YEMEN
Première Urgence – Aide Médicale Internationale is a French Non Governmental Organization, non-profit, apolitical and non-religious. Its entire staff is mobilised daily to cover the basic needs of civilian victims endangered, marginalized or excluded by the effects of natural disasters, wars and situations of economic collapse. PU-AMI is based in 21 countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, the Caucasus and the Caribbean, and operates in the areas of food security, health, nutrition, rehabilitation of infrastructure, water and sanitation and economic recovery. PU-AMI results of the merger of two NGO, Première Urgence and Aide Médicale Internationale, thus combining experienced teams, with strong complementary technical expertise in the humanitarian field.Their common goal is to provide a comprehensive response to population’s in emergency situations and support their return to independence following a crisis.
As part of our activities in Yemen, we are looking for a Head of Mission.
Tasks and responsabilities of the Head of Mission:
- Safety : He/She is in charge of security on the mission.
- Programmes : He / she coordinates the teams and ensures the proper implementation of the programs on the mission, he / she follows the needs and suggests new interventions and approaches to develop the mission.
- Human Resources: He/She ensures that the mission is adequately staffed and supervises the teams (defining objectives, monitoring).
- Logistics, administrative and financial monitoring: He / she makes sure that the logistics and administrative practices are in compliance with PU-AMI procedures and formats and are consistent with donor guidelines.
- Medical and technical monitoring: He/She ensures that medical and technical practices respect PU-AMI’s procedures and formats and are in compliance with PU-AMI’s operational policy.
- Representation : He/She represents the association in its relations with partners, donors, media and different authorities.
- Relations with headquarters: He/She ensures that information is properly circulated between Headquarters and the field and ensures that due dates are respected.
