Micronutrient Initiative President Job


Micronutrient Initiative (MI) is a Canadian success story that, for more than 20 years, has worked with its international partners to reduce the burden and impact of hidden hunger. Headquartered in Ottawa, Canada, with offices and staff on three continents, MI is an international not-for-profit organization dedicated to ensuring that the world’s most vulnerable, especially women and children, in developing countries get the vitamins and minerals they need to survive and thrive.
As MI’s President, you will create a compelling and bold vision of growth and impact to achieve MI’s goal of a world free of hidden hunger. Alongside a dedicated international Board, you will expand MI’s reach and position it as the authoritative voice and partner of choice for micronutrient and nutrition-related initiatives and issues. The Board and staff will look to you for sound business and strategic leadership and effective governance support. A champion of corporate excellence and accountability, you will build a strong team culture and drive organizational performance. As MI’s key spokesperson, you will represent MI to a range of audiences, including governments, partners and donors, on a series of issues from revenue generation and diversification to nutrition policy and health system strengthening at the country level.
As the ideal candidate, you are a trusted partner, a collaborator, an innovative leader and a visionary. You have an excellent reputation that transcends borders, a high level of political astuteness, proven negotiation skills, and a broad understanding of global nutrition issues. Your strong communications and presentation skills and comfort conveying complex messages will serve you well. A decisive and experienced executive, you are well-versed in general management, governance and organizational design. Your judgement, sound reasoning and passion for MI’s work make you a natural and credible choice to lead MI as it enters an exciting new chapter of growth and global impact.
