The role

We are currently seeking a Regional Water Manager to work closely with our other specialists to provide leadership, co-ordination and strategic direction to business development and delivery activities across the Water area in all offices within the Central region (Sydney, Western Sydney, Canberra and Newcastle).
With a minimum of 15 years commercial experience in Water Management, you will play a key role in:
  • Providing leadership to SMEC's Water team in the Central Region.
  • Developing the strategy for the Water Functional Division.
  • Developing strong client relationships through targeted client relationship management and business development activity.
  • Providing project governance, at project director level.
With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
  • Extensive local experience (NSW and ACT) which helped you develop a solid understanding of the NSW-ACT Water market: its main players, its dynamics.
  • Established networks within the Water industry.
  • Experience in water infrastructure is required.
  • Degree qualified in Engineering.
