Yoh has a contract opportunity for a Systems Network Engineer to join our client in O'Fallon, MO.

Job Overview: 

Provide Enterprise caliber administrative, planning, operational, technical aspects and support of infrastructure across an entire corporation. The Systems Network Engineerplans, analyzes, designs, constructs, implements and maintains the company's IT infrastructure according to business needs.

Job Responsibilities:

- Project Management (budget, schedule, resources, and coordination).
- Project estimation (cost and time).
- Vendor/Contractor oversight (accountability).
- Technical design and configuration for emerging projects (SME).
- Provide technical designs and configuration for all infrastructure components over the entire enterprise landscape.
- LOB liaison for ITS related projects.
- Complete technical work as directed by ITS Management.

System Performance:

- Oversee performance and resilience of corporate infrastructure. Infrastructure includes: networking, network security, telecommunications, servers, hosted servers within a Citrix environment, PCs, telephony, and applications in support of a corporate infrastructure (Email, AV, standard apps, etc.).
- Work with ITS staff and hosting providers ensuring all SLAs and corporate compliance are met.
- Proactively identify symptoms and instability in an accurate and timely manner to include performing analysis, capacity planning, hands-on work effort, and testing of the infrastructure.
- Work with LOBs understanding their business needs and making recommendations to management for enhancements to the infrastructure that will improve quality, reliability, performance, and security.
- Work with parent company architecture and support teams to design solutions around technological feasibility, capacity planning, scalability, failover, backup/recovery, and security of the environment.

Change Management:

- Actively manage the change process ensuring compliance with corporate Change Management policy.
- Support the corporation by managing the infrastructure life cycle, including implementing solutions into the test, development and production environments.
- Manage Vendor accountability for adhering to corporate Change Management processes.

Day to Day Support:

- Perform key support activities to install, configure, secure, upgrade, patch, troubleshoot, maintain, tune, monitor, manage and support of the infrastructure.
- Monitor current infrastructure providing guidance and hands-on support as needed to maintain business continuity.
- Provide Management with Status reports throughout assigned projects detailing project status and time line, including a project completion report to document is all milestones and objectives were met.
- Coordinate and support efforts performed by hosting provider working within a Citrix infrastructure.
- Maintain Licensing, Contracts, & Maintenance Agreements in accord with current fiscal year budget & five year technology roadmap.
- Perform all support activities as assigned by Management in order to achieve corporate and departmental level goals.
- Install, configure, and support infrastructure hardware according to company security standards.
- Monitor existing security measures within the network perimeter, and safeguard against unauthorized users.
- Diagnose network support events.

Vendor Relationships:

- Review Vendor Specifications, report findings and make recommendations.
- Work with Managed Services provider to resolve outstanding issues.
- Provide cost effective solution to management, including all cost, procedural and contractual considerations necessary to make decisions.
- Research new technologies available that offer business advancements.

Job Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science or related discipline is required. Significant additional experience and/or certifications or other education and training may be substituted for each year of formal education.
- Must be comfortable/have experience managing vendor to set deliverables.
- Ability to work independently and make timely decisions.
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills including experience with technical documentation, and instructional tools and manuals.
- Ability to manage the supported network hardware and software environments.
- Capabilities in network capacity planning and the maintenance / administration applications for business use.
- Planning, prioritization, time management and organization skills.
- Ability to analyze system requirements, prepare budgets and recommend infrastructure improvements.
- Ability to provide responsive and effective customer service in a team work.
