About SMEC Urban

SMEC Urban is the urban development consulting division of SMEC Australia employing more than 170 staff including civil engineers, surveyors, town planners, urban designers and master planners, landscape architects and project managers.  We provide integrated consulting services needed to plan, design, construct and manage projects from concept to completion.

The role 

We are currently seeking a talented Water Servicing Coordinator with commercial experience to work closely with our other specialists. The role includes:- 
·  Undertake design of water and waste water designs and supervise construction to satisfy the requirements of Sydney Water or relevant Waste Water authority and management of  projects as directed by the Group Manager or Operations Manager.
·  Administering allocated projects or parts of projects as directed by the Group Manager or Manager Business Operations.
·  Supervision of field and/or office personnel in the execution of their duties
·  Undertaking field and office duties in accordance with the Group's procedures and directives
·  To provide direction, supervision and technical expertise to specific  projects under his control.
·  Setting and maintaining technical standards for specific projects
·  Overseeing fieldwork, reporting and document production undertaken to ensure that standards are maintained for technical performance and avoidance of professional liability
·  Ensure that final documentation for projects meet client requirements and statutory regulations
·  To ensure projects satisfy requirements of the Company quality system.
·  To assist Group quality co-ordinator implementing and reviewing corrective actions.
·  Liaison with clients and statutory authorities
· Debtor Control in relation to allocated projects
·  Ensure all work under his direction is carried out in accordance with Company and Group OH&S. procedures.
Must be Sydney Water accredited. With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
·  Commercial experience
·  Degree qualified
