Girl Hub is a strategic collaboration between the Nike Foundation and the UK Department for International Development (DFID), based in the UK, currently operating in three African countries, and with plans to open elsewhere. Some international travel will be required.

Job Purpose
The Girl-Centred Practice & Strategy Manager is a core function in the Girl Hub’s integrated strategy and a leading source and driver of knowledge and expertise on adolescent girls’ programming; and of enabling sustainable systems for girl expert knowledge with maximum impact that is measurable and scalable.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

•    Bring adolescent girl knowledge, project management, and coordination to ensure our country and global work starts with girls always and is sustainable and scalable.
•    Support country offices with adolescent girl technical expertise, in particular working closely with the in-country Girl-Centred Practice and Strategy Managers on programme design and broader team support. 
•    Play an active role with the Girl-Centred Practice & Strategy team, country and global teams to develop and implement a capacity building system and learning opportunities that results in increased girl technical knowledge across the Girl Hub and Nike Foundation.
•    Support/drive Girl Hub global work streams for adolescent girls; support the girl-centred practice & strategy team to co-design large-scale initiatives with DFID including but not limited to economic assets; prevention of violence; data, research and evidence initiatives. 
•    Ensure key departmental information and findings are shared across teams as required.
•    Manage consultants to ensure timely, on budget delivery of outstanding girl-centred practice & strategy projects. Highlight issues and propose solutions to management team where necessary.
•    Work alongside creative development team manager(s) and monitoring and learning managers to ensure that girl expert insights and evidence are built into global innovation funds and country-specific initiatives/programming. 
•    Be a champion for change and delivery. Build a reputation for getting stuff done.

Key Skills and Experience
•    Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in related relevant field; ideally, a Master’s degree.
•    At least three years of relevant professional experience in adolescent girls programming.
•    Knowledge of girl-centred programme design and implementation. 
•    Experience of training and building capacity on girl-centred programming.
•    Experience in project management and coordination; including implementation and monitoring, donor reporting, partner relationships, communication and networking. 
•    Excellent team player
•    Excellent report writing, presentation and communication skills.
•    Excellent inter-personal skills and experience of working in a multi-cultural team.
•    High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
•    Excellent oral, written, presentation and communications skills.
