Web Developer
Elva Community Engagement (www.MyElva.com) is seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious code ninja (i.e. web-developer) interested in utilizing innovative technology to address global challenges in local communities throughout the world.
Our Elva web and mobile phone platform is an innovative tool that allows communities to map local needs using SMS reports and smartphone applications. The platform automatically publishes these reports online in compelling maps and visualisations, making it easy for decision makers to understand local needs and to work with the communities to develop an effective response.
Elva is currently used on three continents for election monitoring, tracking environmental degradation, monitoring security in conflict-affected communities and other issues. We cooperate with local grassroots NGOs as well as major international organizations such as the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
If this sounds interesting, we would be happy to have you join our team for an internship of at least three months. Want to know more about our plans for changing the world? See more about Elva athttp://bit.ly/153a5ld and at http://bit.ly/15g4UNr.
