Job Summary

Due to continued growth, our Water and Environment Business Unit is currently seeking an Environmental Engineer and/or Scientist to join our team based in St Leonards. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with 3-5 years’ experience to work alongside a team of leading engineers and scientists who are renowned in the industry for their expertise and specialist services in the areas of Contaminated Land Management, Environmental Impact Assessments, Project Management, Water Engineering, Coastal Modeling, Ship Simulation and Marine and Freshwater Ecology.
 
This exciting opportunity sits within the Environmental section of the Business Unit enabling you to develop your skills in contaminated land management, land capability assessments, project management, environmental impact assessments, management strategies and plans, approvals and permits and , natural resources management.  ​

Key Responsibilities

  • ​Contaminated Land Assessment
  • Earth sciences including salinity and acid sulfate soil management
  • Environmental Monitoring
  • Data Analysis
  • Environmental Investigation and Analysis
  • Client report preparation and documentation
  • Assisting senior engineers and scientists to complete projects on time and on budget
  • Assisting senior engineers and scientists to prepare tenders
  • Working within all sectors within the group to broaden your skills within the environmental sector

Other Requirements

  • ​Tertiary qualifications in Engineering and/or Science
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Sound analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrate a willingness to pursue self-development for career advancement
  • Desire to pursue a career in Environmental Engineering and/or Science
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
