Lecturer Food & Health in International Supply Chains


HAS University of Applied Sciences is strongly involved in the international business of plant production, animal production, food technology, and bio-based innovation, both in Higher Education courses (Bachelor’s programmes and tailor-made company training) and consultancy projects. In September 2012, we started the new four-year Bachelor’s programme International Food and Agribusiness (IFA). This programme focuses on sustainable food chain management and business development in developing countries and emerging economies, like the BRIC countries.
To strengthen the IFA team, we are looking to employ a:
Lecturer Food & Health in International Supply Chains  (Vacancy number  13-08)
The job is 0.8 – 1.0 fte. Initial appointment is for one year.

Terms of employment are in accordance with CAO-HBO (Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch HBOs). Salary depends on education and experience with minimum pay scale 10 (€ 2.303,-) and maximum pay scale 11 (€ 4.365,-) , per month and at full-time employment.

Requirements
We are looking for a colleague with experience in:
- Nutrition and Health
- Food Supply Chains &  Intervention Strategies
- Food Business in Developing or BRICS Economies
Your experience may originate from commercial business or consultancy work.
Your tasks include development and teaching of International Food & Agribusiness courses, and participation in your role as expert in the development of sustainable and healthy food supply chains.
Native English speakers are strongly encouraged to apply. For non-native speakers of English, fluency in English is required.
You are enthusiastic, decisive, innovative, and you inspire the people around you. You enjoy working in a team.
