Role

The Management Assistant works to the Assignment Editors in the UK Specialist teams – UK affairs; Education; Health; Science & Environment; Arts and Entertainment - providing professional administrative support to the teams and working alongside the Newsgathering Unit Manager and Management support team to establish, maintain and evolve procedures for the smooth and effective running of the department.

Requirements

You will need to have proven ability to work in a team environment and to communicate effectively with a range of people and at all levels of the BBC.  Excellent planning and organising skills, along with a proven ability to prioritise, work to tight deadlines and use initiative as appropriate.  You will need knowledge of BBC administrative procedures regarding hospitality, transport, conference room bookings, stationery ordering and maintaining of office equipment.  You will also need excellent practical knowledge and skills in a range of packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience of Workplace would be an advantage.
