To complete our team, the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) is seeking a highly professional and committed team player for the following position:
Manager Competitions (Olympics, FIFA Club World Cup & FIFA U-20 World Cup)
Duties
  • Leading and managing a project team, ensuring project planning (middle and long term) project communication and controlling
  • Meeting budget targets (expense management within detailed budget frame)
  • Overseeing project administration (filing, reports, templates, lessons learned)
  • Coordination of preliminary tournaments (as required)
  • Overseeing as well as preparing all event specific inspections
  • Primary counterpart of competitions relevant issues for the LOC
  • Logistic and administrative support for activities concerning the relevant Organising Committees
  • Elaboration of hosting agreements and regulations for FIFA tournaments
  • Accreditation coordination and implementation of all aspects of the event specific general programme
  • Overseeing the planning and preparation of draws, award ceremonies etc. as well as infrastructure and logistics at the events (event offices, shipments, travel arrangements)
Requirements
  • College or graduate degree, or basic commercial education
  • Minimum of five years of related experience in organisation of large events
  • High administrative, organisational and leadership skills
  • Experience in budgeting and controlling
  • Very good language skills in English; German and Spanish as additional assets
  • Very good project management skills and proven experience in leading projects
  • Proficient with MS Office, MS Project is a plus
  • Self-starter, proactive and able to take initiative and responsibility
  • Able to cope in an international, demanding and changing environment
  • Flexible and able to work well under pressure, reliable and persistent
  • Outgoing and flexible personality with excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to travel and affinity towards football
